this quick tutorial shows how to restore windows server from backup image
- copy the folder \WindowsImageBackup\ to your external drive
- prepared 1 alternate server, with free partition drives
- insert windows 2008 R2 dvd into your dvd’s tray
- plug the external drive into this alternate server
- turn the alternate server on,
- type any key to boot from DVD boots
- next
- choose, repair
- system repairs
- load image from other
- next until finish
- if they asking about delete partition, choose yes
- done
remember, the windows restore will not read any file if it found no “\WindowsImageBackup\” folders
